Almost all Bluetooth dongles are compatible with Windows OS but Linux or Mac OS can become a stumbling block. The best thing is to buy a highly compatible adapter which will serve you even if you decide to purchase a new PC with the other operating system. Some operating systems support Plug-n-Play option (e.g. Windows 8/10). Best Bluetooth Dongle The USB Bluetooth dongles have become a lot more popular in the modern day and age. Especially when you consider the fact that, many of the entry-level motherboards are usually without the Bluetooth connectivity. While laptops are usually equipped with this technology, the same cannot be said for the full sized desktop computers. To make the multi-adapter business easier for the rest of us, AirMagnet packaged it up very thoughtfully in a kit. Kit Contents: Three Proxim Orinoco 8494 802.11abgn adapters (C1080) — AirMagnet’s recommended USB Wi-Fi adapter. Airmagnet support. AirMagnet recommends the use of adapters that have been tested and certified as mentioned in category 1. Note: Authentications supported by various adapters could be limited by their own capabilities, Windows wireless zero configurations and various other reasons. The dongle itself is tiny with a simple black frame that allows it to blend in with most laptop or desktop exteriors. The range is decent, and many users have praised its performance and connectivity. ZEXMTE Dongle is among the best selling Bluetooth adapters on the market.

I'm currently building a new lot and have been using a foundation and also lowered walls. While playtesting I found out that the elevator didn't connect all floors because the levels with lowered walls didn't have an elevator shaft. It's also not possible to add the original elevator shaft to those levels with lowered walls because of its size - the top of it will always be visible at the above level. Since I didn't want to rebuild the whole lot again I decided to create a smaller elevator shaft for it.
This lowered version of the original elevator shaft works fine in game and therefore I'd like to share it with you. It's non-recolourable, just like the original elevator shaft.

I suppose this is the natural conclusion of my stairs research, and perhaps some of you could see it coming.
At first I had no plans to make one, and indeed wasn't even considering it, but I wanted to see if I could accomplish it, so I gave it a whirl. My elevator is a bit different than the other one out there. Here's a list of features:
Can be placed anywhere, no restrictions on placement.
There is no 'front' or 'back' or even 'side' to this object. You can block any three of the cardinal directions with objects or walls, and block any different three on the upper story, and the Sim can still use it. As you can see from the second screenshot, it truly takes up only a single tile.
Stacks vertically. I made the upper 'disc' slightly smaller than the lower disc. What this means for you is that when you stack them, the smaller upper disc is hidden inside the new bottom disc, for a nice, clean appearance.
This was made from the StareStepper staircase, and retains the availability of all 5 original colors (though the center stays white).
Mesh info: 864 faces total
Maxis original stairs had over 4,000 faces.
Another interesting feature of this is that the 'teleportation point' is dead-center, so when you stack them and tell a Sim to go up say..5 floors, they instantly teleport right to the top, without any pauses at each floor. Very quickly! It's amusing to see.
Anyhoo..I hope you find this super spacesaver 'staircase' a useful addition to your custom object collection.
Enjoy!
