Sriti jha was born on 26th Feb 1986 in Darbhanga, bihar. After her initial days in Bihar, she shifted to Kolkata and spent 10 years there. She later lived in Kathmandu for some time. Sriti jha did about 10 years of her schooling in Kolkata and also studied at Modern India School in Kathmandu. When her family shifted to Delhi, she studied at Laxman public school. For her graduation, she pursued bachelor of arts degree in English from Sri Venkateswara college in delhi.
During her school days, Sriti jha was more interested in her dancing skills than acting. But she later went ahead and pursued her interest in acting. In fact, in 2004 she joined English dramatics society in her college and later also became the president.
Her first brush with the world of showbiz happened when she got selected after her audition for Dhoom Machao Dhoom at her college in Delhi. Sriti later made her debut with the role of Malini Sharma in the Disney India’s teen drama. Her parents were very supportive of her decision to take up acting.
Sriti jha got a very prominent role in the serial Jyoti on NDTV Imagine. She played the role of Sudha Sharma in the TV series. She was later seen in several other roles in TV series like Jiya Jale, Shaurya Aur Suhani, Rakt Sambandh, Dil Se Di Dua… Saubhagyavati Bhava and Balika Vadhu. She was also seen in reality shows like Meethi Choori No.1 and Nachle Ve with Saroj Khan.
Sriti jha had her biggest break when she was case as the lead Pragya in Zee TV’s show Kumkum Bhagya. The show became a very big success and she actually became a household name for her role.
